Navya-Nyāya

Navya-Nyāya is the “new Nyāya” tradition inaugurated by Gaṅgeśa’s exacting analysis of cognition, inferential relations, absence, and linguistic reference. It refashioned older Nyāya-Vaiśeṣika questions into a technical philosophical idiom used well beyond the school.
